DeLand, Fla.- The Hatters fell to FGCU Saturday night 2-0 as their season would come to an end.
Stetson narrowly missed out on the ASUN Playoffs after fighting tooth and nail against the Eagles. With Kennesaw State winning today it forced the Hatters with the task of defeating a team that was 4-1-2 in conference play. The Hatters created many opportunities throughout the game that were narrowly saved by the Eagle's goalkeeper stopping them from tying the game.
That Hatters had started to find their rhythm at the end of the season getting a result in three of the last four games. Freshman Goalkeeper led the conference in saves as she tallied 145 saves.
Annika Seem led the Hatters with five goals followed by LoBasso with three.
Kelly Gende and Georgia place were tied for the team lead with two assists.
Lea Alexander and
Hanna Arvay were the two Hatters that started all 18 games this season.
The Hatters finish the season 3-12-3 overall and 3-6-2 in conference.
