Daytona Beach, Fla.- The Hatters will participate in the Sunshine Slam on November 20 and 21 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach. Stetson will face off against Milwaukee on Sunday Nov. 20 at 5:30pm for a rematch of last year's CBI matchup.
 
Inside the Series
Stetson and Milwaukee have faced off against each other three times with Panthers seemingly having the Hatters number. The team teams first matched up on Dec. 28 ,1995 part of a home and home that was completed on Nov. 30, 1996. Last year's CBI game was the first time in over twenty-five years the teams squared off with the Hatters falling just short 83-87 in a game that had to be decided in overtime. 
 
Scouting the Hatters (1-2, ASUN 0-0)
The team is coming off a very tough road stretch where they played UNLV and #6 Houston dropping both of those games. This game will be the Hatters opportunity to get back in the win column. As a team, Stetson is averaging 70.7 points per game while shooting .432/.345/.654. The defense for the Hatters has held teams to 68 point per game, shooting .396/.292/.595. They have a rebounding margin of 5.7. The problem for the Hatters in their two losses stemmed from their turnovers an area they will be looking to clean up. 
 
Jalen Blackmon has been one of the main contributors on the offensive side of the ball averaging 16.7 points per game while shooting .409/.375. Gateretse is averaging eight rebounds per game cleaning up on the glass and preventing other teams from getting second chance points. 
 
Scouting the Panthers (2-2, Horizon 0-0)
The Panthers started the season with a win over Stout before dropping their next two games to Providence and #25 Colorado. Milwaukee was able to secure a win over Luther College their last time out. The Panthers average 81 points per game while shooting .397/.299/.691. They have allowed 78.5 points per game on .450/.432/.667 shooting. They slightly out rebound their opponents by 2.8 rebounds per game and bring a 5.0 turnover margin into the Sunshine Slam.
Milwaukee is led by B.J. Freeman who averages 21.7 points per game while also bringing in 7 rebounds per game. 
 
After facing off against Milwaukee the Hatter will take on Siena or Central Michigan on Nov 21.
