DeLand, Fla.- The Hatters dominated Trinity Baptist Monday night at the Edmunds Center 109-54.

Stetson came into this game coming off an exhibition game against Florida Tech in which they won 78-65. After the exhibition the Hatters needed to cut down their turnovers and succeeded in that tonight only turning the ball over 10 times.Â

The Hatters took off right away with
Jalen Blackmon hitting a three on the first possession. Stetson would go on a 10-0 scoring run to take a 15-5 lead with
Alec Oglesby providing eight of those points including two from beyond the arc. Up 27-11 the Hatters would once again go on a 10-0 run increasing their lead to 25 points. Stetson would end the first half on a high note as Freshman
Landen Babusiak earned his first collegiate bucket with two seconds left ending the half 59-21.

The second half showcased the Hatters continuing to fire on all cylinders and increase their lead. Blackmon would add eleven more points to his total as the starters would continue rotating into the game until about eight minutes left in the second half. Stetson would empty the bench allowing all players active for the game to get some minutes. The crowd roared when
Isaac Jones hit a three-point shot off the glass marking his first career collegiate bucket. Stetson would have its largest lead on a three-point shot from
Naeem Lewis putting them up 105-48. The game finished with a final score of 109-54.

Each Hatter that entered the game registered a made basket with Blackmon leading the team with 21 points on 7-11 shooting from the field and 4-7 from deep.
Aubin Gateretse recorded a double-double scoring 15 points a grabbing ten boards.
Treyton Thompson,
Bruce Kanno and
Naeem Lewis each earned their basket with the Hatters while
Tristan Gross,
Alex Doyle, Babusiak, I. Jones and
Jackson Huxtable each recording their first points in their collegiate careers.Â

The Hatters will now travel to Las Vegas to take on UNLV. That game will tip-off at 7pm on Saturday November 11.
