DeLand, Fla. - The ASUN Conference announced its 2023 Beach Volleyball Preseason All-Conference selections, as voted by the league's eight coaches. Stetson's Shae Henson was named Preseason Player of the Year while also earning a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-Conference Team.  The Hatters are reigning ASUN Champions and No. 15 in the AVCA Preseason Poll. The first Beach Volleyball matches of the 2023 season happen on Feb. 24 when four league teams take to the sand.

Stetson recognized three players to the ASUN Preseason All-Conference Team.

Shae Henson, Stetson: Henson, the 2023 Preseason Player of the Year, returns to the Hatters squad after being named a Second Team All-American by the AVCA with No.1 partner Kylie Neuschaeferova. The senior finished with 24 wins last year and was named First Team All-Conference helping the Hatters advance to the NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship for the third time in program history.

Carolina Ferraris, Stetson: Ferraris was named to the All-Conference First Team and had 27 wins last season. The junior helped the Hatters defeat No. 18 South Carolina on two occasions during the regular season and recorded another victory against a top-20 team in No. 20 FGCU.

Anete Namike, Stetson: Last season, Namike was selected to the ASUN All-Freshmen Team as well as ASUN First Team All-Conference with Ferraris. The duo ended the season 27-11 with a majority of their wins coming from the No. 2 position.
