DeLand, Fla. - The Stetson University men's basketball team fell short to Libscomb 83-70, Tuesday at the Edmunds Center. The first half consisted of back-and-fourth action between both teams. Jalen Blackmon led the Hatters with 33 points on the night and 38 minutes played. By the end of the first half, the Hatters were down by two, and the game was very much up for the taking.

It wasn't until late in the second half when the Bisons took control. With 18:56 left on the clock, the score was tied at 37. Luke Brown shot a good three pointer to increase Stetson's lead by six. As the game continued to wind down, with 9:32 left on the clock, the score was tied at 50 and still up for grabs. It wasn't until the last three minutes of play when the Bison really took the lead. A couple of jumpers and three pointers put Libscomb up by 11, leaving Stetson to put in some work. The final buzzer sounded, and the Hatters lost the game by 13, ending their 2023 season at home.

Stetson had a fantastic season going 17-13 overall, and 12-6 in the conference.
