Stetson Comes up Short Against Kennesaw State

Kennesaw, GA – After a couple hour delay, Stetson (10-8, 0-4) would drop another close match 3-4 to Kennesaw State (9-6, 2-2).

Stetson would claim the doubles point to start the match as Marc Saura and Lucas Olivier would win 6-3. Ervin Haris Eminefendic and Juan Jose Rodriguez Garceran would finish next on court two 6-3 to seal the victory in doubles for the Hatters.

Ervin Haris Eminefendic would get the win on court three to start singles play 6-0, 6-4. Court four would finish next seeing Sami Ozzor drop 4-6, 1-6. Sven Thiergard would fall on court six 4-6, 3-6 making the overall score 2-2.

Juan Jose Rodriguez Garceran would get the Hatters back in the win column by winning 6-4, 6-4. Kennesaw State would tie it up again at 3-3 as Marc Saura dropped 3-6, 6-7 on court one. Lucas Olivier would come up short on court two 6-7, 4-6, making the overall score 3-4 as Kennesaw State claimed the victory.

"Obviously it is tough to lose another match 4-3, we have been on the losing end more than once this year. I have no doubt these moments will make the team closer, tougher, and better overall. We will be able to turn the tide next time around as we close the gap and get ready for our next challenge," said Stetson head coach Christophe Noblet.

The Hatters will travel to Nashville, Tennessee to take on Lipscomb March 31st at 2:00 p.m.
