Fort Myers, Fla. – Stetson (14-10, 3-5) lost a tough battle against FGCU (13-8, 7-1) on Friday night 3-4 in the ASUN Quarterfinals.
 
In doubles play, Juan Jose Rodriguez Garceran and Ervin Haris Eminefendic would get the first win on court two 6-1. FGCU would tie it up as Lucas Olivier and Marc Saura fell on court one 1-6. Sven Thiergard and Alexandre Hillhouse would come up short on court three 6-7 conceding the doubles point to the Eagles.

In singles play, Marc Saura would fall 0-6, 1-6 on court one. The Hatters would then get their first point of the match as Alexandre Hillhouse would pick up the victory on court six 7-6, 6-1. Lucas Olivier would tie the overall score as he would win 6-3, 6-4 on court two. Juan Jose Rodriguez Garceran would fall in a three-set match on court four 1-6, 6-1, 4-6 to give the Eagles back the lead.

Sami Ozzor would tie up the match again on court five as he won 6-1, 6-1. Ervin Haris Eminefendic would fall in a three-set match on court three 6-1, 2-6, 3-6, as the Hatters postseason run would come to end falling 3-4 to the Eagles.

"Another tough battle against FGCU. This was a great college match that came down to a few points at the end. It is a tough pill to swallow, but hopefully this young team will learn from it and come back even stronger next season.
