Hatters, Dolphins Suspended Until Sunday

Teams tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth

Jacksonville, Fla. -- Stetson and Jacksonville were scheduled to play the first two games of their ASUN Conference series Saturday evening at the Pruitt Softball Complex, but mother nature had other plans.  Game 1 was suspended due to weather in the top of the sixth inning with the score tied 1-1.  That contest will resume at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, with Game 2 following the end of Game 1 and Jacksonville's senior day ceremonies, and Game 3 following 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2.

Jacksonville native Kami Eppley gave the Hatters a 1-0 lead in the fourth when she turned on an inside pitch and drove deep to right for a solo home run.  It was her second round tripper of the season.

The Dolphins tied the game in the bottom of the fifth on a two-out RBI single by Tatianna Davis.

Lauren Hobbs has struck out six batters through the first five innings for the Hatters.  Ashlee Harwood is in her second inning of relief for the Dolphins.
