Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Stetson University women's basketball team extended their win streak to three straight games after defeating the Lipscomb Bisons 67-55 in Nashville on Saturday afternoon.Following their 51-42 win over Austin Peay on Thursday, the Hatters now leave the Volunteer State with a 2-0 record as they have now won all four of their conference road games so far.
Leading the Hatters in the win was
Khamya McNeal, who racked up a season-high 21 points while going 6-of-10 from the floor. While her streak of 11 games with an assist came to an end, the redshirt-junior guard snatched four rebounds on the glass.
Sophomore guard
Promise Keshi set a career-high in points with 13 on 6-of-11 shooting. She hit her lone attempted three-pointer but she was also a force on defense, racking up three steals and a block.
"We have different players stepping up," said Head Coach
Lynn Bria. "I was so proud of our defensive execution especially in the fourth quarter."
The Stetson defense held the Bisons to just 4-of-17 (23.5%) shooting in the opening quarter, including 2-of-10 shots from beyond the arc.
Quentarra Mitchell, a Nashville native, tallied four points, three rebounds and an assist in the first quarter.
After holding a five point lead at the end of the first, the Hatters extended their lead to nine heading into the half. The team went on a 7-0 run to close out the second quarter which was capped off by a three-pointer from McNeal.
Despite Lipscomb coming back to tie the game at 38 a piece heading into the final quarter, the Hatters dominated the fourth, going 8-of-13 from the field and a perfect 12-of-12 from the charity stripe. The defense held the Bisons to just 4-of-13 shooting in the fourth as the Hatters would go on to outscore them 29-17 down the stretch.

Diawna Carter-Hartley and sophomore forward
Jaelyn Talley both grabbed seven rebounds in the win as the Hatters outrebounded Lipscomb 42-38 while outsourcing them 32-22 in the paint.
Stetson will conclude their road trip next Wednesday as they head to the Bluegrass State for a midweek showdown with the Eastern Kentucky Colonels. Tip-off for that game is scheduled for 7:00 PM at the Baptist Health Arena in Richmond, KY. All the action will be streamed on ESPN+ and live stats will be available at www.ekusports.com.
