Stetson Claims Three Major ASUN Postseason Awards

Ahl, Loriot and Radaelli each named best at position

JACKSONVILLE – Stetson men's soccer wrapped up the regular season with multiple honors, winning three of the ASUN's five major postseason awards after capturing the regular season title for the first time since 2017.

Senior midfielder Charles Ahl was named ASUN Player of the Year, becoming the third Hatter in program history to win the award and the first since Jonathan Mendoza in 2011. Ahl, from Winter Park, Florida, recorded two goals and five assists this season—his third consecutive season with five or more assists. He is also one of only six Hatters ever to be named a three-time All-ASUN honoree.

Clarence Loriot, a newcomer from France, took home the Defensive Player of the Year award, joining Ian McCauley (2019) and three other Hatters who have received this distinction. Loriot's menacing presence on the backline solidified Stetson's defense, helping guide the team to three shutout and a top-seed finish. Loriot also scored the lone goal, and his only of the season, in the draw with Bellarmine that secured Stetson's seed.

Graduate goalkeeper Nicolo Radaelli earned Goalkeeper of the Year honors. The Milan, Italy, native started 14 games, making 48 saves on 145 shots faced while recording three shutouts. Radaelli's presence in the net has been a cornerstone of Stetson's success.

The Hatters also celebrated several All-Conference honorees. Ahl and Loriot were both named to the ASUN First Team, while leading goal-scorer Maurice Hauser, Csato, Andres Rodriguez, and Radaelli made the Second Team. Freshmen Andre Casas and Benjamin Donato were selected to the All-Freshman Team, with Casas earning a unanimous selection. Additionally, Csato's excellence in the classroom earned him a spot on the Academic All-ASUN Team with a 3.8 GPA in Business Administration.

With six total All-Conference selections this season, Stetson now boasts 72 All-Conference honorees in program history. The Hatters will look to carry their regular-season success into the ASUN Championship as they aim for the title.

The Hatters, seeded #1 in the upcoming ASUN Championship, earned a first-round bye and will face the winner of #4 Central Arkansas and #5 Queens on Monday. Stetson will look to continue their strong form as they compete for the tournament title.
