Stetson University has announced that Brian Young has resigned his position as head football coach to pursue other opportunities.
"Coach Young has spent a major part of his coaching career mentoring young men at Stetson University," said Athletics Director Ricky Ray. "We are appreciative of all that he has done during his time as both an assistant coach and defensive coordinator, as well as our head coach and wish him the best moving forward."
Young recorded an overall record of 13-30 in four seasons as the Hatters head coach. In seven seasons as the defensive coordinator from 2013-19, Young's defenses ranked either first or second in the Pioneer Football League.
Offensive coordinator
Sheldon Cross will serve as the interim head coach. A national search will begin immediately.
