Following a stellar 2024 season, the Stetson Hatters are ready for another exciting and competitive season. Under the leadership of Head Coach Steve Trimper, Stetson aims to build on last year's 41-22 record, which included a 20-10 mark in ASUN Conference play, a ninth conference tournament championship, and a thrilling run in the NCAA Regional, where they eliminated Alabama in Tallahassee.
Stetson will open the season at the Puerto Rico Baseball Challenge, facing UConn on February 14, followed by Penn State, Missouri, and Michigan in San Juan. The Hatters return home to Melching Field at Conrad Park (the MAC) to host UMBC in their home opener on February 21, kicking off a stretch of eight home games, including marquee matchups against Iowa, Notre Dame, and in-state rival Florida.
The month of March includes a highly anticipated road series at BYU from March 5-8, before returning home to host USC Upstate. ASUN Conference play opens with a three-game series against FGCU at home on March 14-16. The Hatters will also take on the Jacksonville Dolphins in Jacksonville from March 21-23 and wrap up the month with a midweek game against Miami in Coral Gables on March 26, followed by a series at the University of West Georgia.
April brings a mix of conference and non-conference competition, with notable matchups against UCF in Orlando on April 1 and USF in Tampa on April 8. Stetson will host Queens on April 4-6 and UNF from April 11-13 before traveling to Charlotte for an away series against Queens on April 17-19. April closes with another conference series against UNF in Jacksonville from April 25-27 and a midweek home game against USF on April 29.
The Hatters will play their final home stretch of the regular season at the MAC starting against West Georgia from May 2-4. Stetson will also host Bethune-Cookman on May 6 before concluding the season with home games against Jacksonville on May 9-11. The regular season ends with a series against FGCU in Fort Myers from May 15-17.
Head Coach Steve Trimper shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming season:
"We're excited to announce the 2025 Stetson Baseball schedule. This schedule will certainly challenge us, as the quality of opponents we're facing is top-notch. With more games on the road, we aim to successfully boost our RPI rankings through key road wins. From the Puerto Rico Baseball Challenge to trips to BYU and matchups against in-state foes like Florida, Florida State, Miami, UCF, and USF, this season will be a great test for our ball club."
The Hatters will again host the ASUN Conference Tournament at Melching Field from May 20-25, with hopes of earning a return trip to the NCAA Regionals (May 30-June 1) and potentially advancing to the Super Regionals and College World Series in Omaha.
