DELAND, Fla. — Stetson Baseball added eight future Hatters to the program on National Signing Day last week, strengthening a foundation that has delivered back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances and consecutive ASUN Championship Tournament titles. The newest class features a blend of elite arms, athletic infielders and a high-end catching prospect as Head Coach Steve Trimper and his staff continue building on the program's recent momentum.
"We're all extremely excited to announce this year's signing class," Head Coach Steve Trimper said. "The talent level of these eight individuals will undoubtedly help the Hatters stay on top and continue our winning, championship ways following back-to-back NCAA Regional trips. A lot of credit goes to our coaching staff—Greg Lovelady, Daniel Latham, Cameron Coons and Nick Restaino—for securing such a strong class."
Recruiting coordinator Greg Lovelady added:
"We're really excited about this group we've put together. Our staff did an outstanding job evaluating talent and building relationships with these young men and their families. It's a great mix of players and backgrounds, and each one will be an excellent representative of Stetson University. They're impact guys who can help us keep competing for championships and continue the success we've built over the past several years."
Joshua Martinez, an infielder from Thomas R. Proctor High School in Utica, N.Y., arrives in DeLand as one of the most decorated athletes in Section III. A four-year varsity standout, Martinez excelled as a shortstop, right-handed pitcher and switch-hitter while helping produce two no-hitters in 2025. His resume includes Prime Performer honors for a 2024 no-hitter against Oneida, a CNY Sports All-Star selection, and a 2.77 ERA last season to go along with some of the region's top marks in stolen bases, runs and RBIs. Recently ranked among New York State's Top 40 players and featured in Perfect Game's Northeast Top Prospect listings, Martinez also starred in football and basketball—capping a standout three-sport career.
Christopher Marano, a right-hander from DePaul Catholic in North Haledon, N.J., extends Stetson's well-established pipeline of Garden State talent. Marano has already surpassed 100 career strikeouts and earned Breakout Player of the Year honors as a freshman before collecting All-Passaic County and All-Big North United accolades. He took a major step forward this past summer, sitting 91–92 mph and touching 93 with a sharpened, high-level slider operating at 82–83 mph. With a changeup that now features real depth and separation, Marano arrives as one of the premier Northeast arms in the 2026 class.
Mathis McKenna, a left-handed pitcher from Rigaud, Quebec, becomes the latest Canadian standout to join the Hatters—Stetson's fourth in recent years. A product of Cité-des-Jeunes High School and the Academie Baseball Canada, McKenna excelled on the national stage. He starred for Team Quebec at the 2024 Canada Cup, earning Defensive Player of the Tournament as the event's top pitcher, and was named ABC's Pitcher of the Year. McKenna also earned roster spots on the Canadian Junior National Team in both 2024 and 2025. Away from baseball, he is a provincial weightlifting champion.
Jeremy Lowrey, a right-hander from William Henry Harrison High School in Lafayette, Ind., brings a strong baseball lineage as the son of two former college athletes, including a father who played at Ball State. A four-year letterwinner and All-Conference selection as a sophomore, Lowrey has continued to develop into a durable, competitive arm with upside.
Cole Travers, an infielder from Naples, Fla., arrives from St. John Neumann Catholic as one of Southwest Florida's most productive offensive players. Travers earned county Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year honors while helping lead Neumann to a regional championship and four district titles. Evaluators point to his physical frame and ability to drive the ball with intent, producing consistent extra-base damage from the right side. His strong arm and lateral quickness allow him to defend confidently at the corner, and scouts believe there is even more power to unlock.
Daniel "Danny" Garcia, an Orlando native and infielder from Bishop Moore Catholic, brings another top-tier local talent to DeLand. Garcia was named Rookie of the Year as a freshman before posting consecutive Offensive Player of the Year seasons as a sophomore and junior. Growing up attending Stetson games, he said the program's atmosphere and small-school community made the Hatters the perfect fit.
Benjamin "Boomer" Rogozinski, a catcher from Grayson, Ga., and Brookwood High School standout, adds leadership and toughness behind the plate. A four-year varsity player and team captain all four seasons, Rogozinski earned First Team All-Region, All-County and All-State honors, along with the Scotty McIntyre Hustle Award. He also has strong athletic roots—his father played football and baseball at the University of South Carolina. Rogozinski chose Stetson for its blend of high academic standards and a tradition-rich, championship-level baseball program.
Fabian Antonsanti-Soto, a Florida 6A All-State infielder, rounds out the 2025 signing class as one of the state's most accomplished players over the past three seasons. The son of former college basketball players, he earned Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-State honors in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and was named the organization's District Player of the Year in both 2024 and 2025. A three-time All-District and All-Academic selection, he helped lead his program to three straight district championships while anchoring its lineup.
Stetson's latest recruiting class brings together a high-upside, competitive group from across the U.S. and Canada as the Hatters continue building toward a championship future.
