DeLand, Fla- The Stetson softball team dropped their final game of the Frank Griffin Classic on Sunday afternoon, as the Hatters fell 10-0 to Boston University in five innings.
 
The Hatters fell behind 6-0 in the top of the first as the Terriers collected their runs on six hits and a Hatter's error. Boston University added three more runs in the top of the third on two hits and two Stetson errors. Nadia English was a defensive substitution for the Hatters for the top of the second and in the bottom of the third received her first collegiate at bat. English roped a line drive over the shortstop for her first collegiate hit while also breaking up Kasey Ricard's no hitter. The single moved Annabella McClerren over to second but the two baserunners ended up being stranded. The Terriers added one more run in the top of the fourth inning making it 10-0. 
 
Hannah Marien started the game and pitched two innings before being relieved by Caitlin Mullen who went 1.1 innings. Victoria Ash then came into the game making her first collegiate appearance and earned her first collegiate strikeout in the fifth. 
 
The Hatters will look to get into the win column as they host the Hatter Classic. They will face Creighton and Colgate on Friday, Feb 16 at 3pm and 5:30pm respectively.
