The Stetson Softball teams dropped both games of their doubleheader against USF Wednesday evening.
In the first game
Hannah Marien was in the circle for the Hatters. She went all six innings allowing four runs and struck out four. Stetson was only able to muster two hits against the Bulls falling in the first game 4-0.
For the second game,
Lauren Hobbs started for Stetson. She went six innings as well allowing five runs and struck out five. The Hatters defense committed three errors allowing two unearned runs for South Florida.
Stetson struck first in game two. In the top of the third inning
Addison Foster hit one between the first and second baseman and
Haley Fox came around the score. Foster then stole second and
Evette Morgan brought her home on a single to left. The Hatters were unable to scratch anymore runs across the rest of the way falling 7-2.
The Hatters will now travel to Knoxville, Tennessee for a Tournament against Tennessee, Brown and Longwood from March 1 to March 3.
