PENNSAUKEN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Stetson women's rowing finished fifth at the 2024 MAAC Championship for the second straight year as
Maia Starrwalker and
Noelle Zinn earn All-MAAC honors. The Hatters earned 20 points to finish ahead of conference foes Drake and Canisius.
In the first race of the day for the Hatters the varsity 4+ came across the line fifth with a time of 8:35.948 beating out boats from Canisius and Drake by more than 11 seconds. The 2nd varsity 8+ boat earned a fourth place finish with a time of 7:40.757, just behind the third place boat from Sacred Heart and ahead of the Marist boat.
In the final race of the day, the Hatters varsity 8+ finished fifth recording a time of 7:23.714, once again besting the boat from Drake, this time by more than twenty five seconds. The Hatters would finish fifth for the second straight year, earning a total 20 points across the races.
After the racing, sophomore
Maia Starrwalker was named to the All-MAAC First Team, while freshmen
Noelle Zinn was named to the All-MAAC Second Team.Â
