BIRMINGHAM. Ala. - Former Hatter Owen Jack has signed a short term contract with Birmingham Legion FC of the USL Championship, the team announced on Monday.
In his four years with the program, Jack made 22 appearances in net, allowing 30 goals on 238 shots for a .714 save percentage. As a Hatter, Jack held a record of 7-7-6 with 75 career saves including an ASUN-leading 53 saves during the 2022 season. He was also a part of six Stetson shutouts.
"I couldn't think of a better person and player to be the first Hatter since I have been head coach at Stetson, to sign with a USL Championship club. He worked his way up from a small youth club in SW Florida to persevering and being patient for his time to develop into one of our best goalkeepers and captains we have had at Stetson in my time, I am really proud of him as he epitomizes our program in every facet with his dedication and development to his craft," said Head Coach
Emmett Rutkowski. "Owen is paving the way for some of our current Hatters and will represent our program and Stetson well at the next level!"
