DELAND, FL --The Stetson men's basketball fell 95-60 to the Queens Royals at home Thursday night.
The Hatters struggled with their shooting in the first half and found themselves trailing early. Though they closed the gap with an 8-2 run to end the period, they still entered halftime down 46-26.
In the second half, Stetson faced a 77-43 deficit but responded with a 7-0 run, capped off by an Abramo Canka layup to make it 77-50. However, the Hatters were unable to mount a significant comeback, ultimately falling by a 95-60 margin.
Mehki Ellison led Stetson in scoring with 19 points, while Josh Massey added 12. Blaize Sagna was the team's leading rebounder with four.
The Hatters will return to action at home on Saturday, January 18, facing West Georgia at 4:00 p.m. Earlier this season, Stetson defeated West Georgia 78-62 on the road.
