DeLand, Fla. – The Stetson Hatters earned a 5-2 victory over the South Carolina State Bulldogs at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center early Sunday afternoon. The Hatters quickly secured the doubles point before taking four of the six singles matches, clinched by Audelie Lesauvage's win on Court 4. Cheri Darley was the first to finish in singles, earning her third win of the season with a 6-2, 6-1 victory. Lesauvage and Clelia Lombardi also picked up their third wins of the season.

"We're just trying to improve the basics at the moment and making sure we're not trying to get too good too quickly. The main thing we wanted to take away today was to make sure we improved upon the things we didn't do well last match, and I think we did that. Now we have some people stepping up. Anastasia will be back, hopefully, against USF, which will be good and will only make us stronger."
