JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Stetson fell 2-0 on the road to Jacksonville Saturday night at Southern Oak Stadium.
Despite generating 13 shots, including four on target, the Hatters were unable to break through against the Dolphins' back line. Jacksonville capitalized on its chances, scoring once in each half — in the 21st and 78th minutes — to secure the win.
Nicolo Radaelli recorded six saves on eight shots faced, keeping Stetson within reach for much of the match. Offensively, Valentin Fontaine and Daniel Makowem each registered two shots, with one on goal apiece, while Mauricio Restrepo added two attempts, including one that tested the keeper.
With the loss, Stetson dropped to 4-7-1 overall and 1-2-1 in ASUN play. Jacksonville improved to 4-6-3 overall and 1-1-2 in conference competition.
The Hatters return home to DeLand next weekend to host FGCU on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7:00 p.m. for "Kick or Treat" and Club Night at the Athletic Training Center.
