Hatters Take Silver at Head of the Charles for Second Straight Year

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The Stetson University men's rowing team delivered another impressive performance on the national stage this past weekend, earning a second-place finish in the Men's Collegiate 4+ at the 2025 Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Competing against a field of 40 collegiate crews from across the country, the Hatters crossed the finish line in 16:06.213, just 2.5 seconds behind Jacksonville University for the top spot. The result marks the third straight year Stetson has claimed a spot on the podium at the prestigious event, solidifying the program's standing among the nation's elite.

Racing as Bow 2, Stetson's lineup featured Lukasz Bajorek (4 seat), Endrik Brettmann (3), Sacha Roiena (2), Samuel Tise (1), and coxswain Alexander Moore, under the direction of coaches Anthony Chacón and Jamie Francis.

The Hatters navigated the challenging three-mile course along the Charles River with precision, recording key interval times of 3:38.203 at Riverside, 8:40.777 at Weld, and 13:13.549 at CBC before their final push to secure the runner-up finish.

The Head of the Charles, sanctioned by USRowing, is the largest two-day regatta in the world, attracting more than 2,500 entries from nearly 1,000 organizations across all levels of the sport.

Stetson will return to competition on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Fall Florida Invitational in Daytona Beach, Florida.
