"This has been the most fun I've ever had racing," Chris Furton said. "Our boat went out and had a great time every race, and took home a silver medal. This was the perfect way to send out my rowing career and I couldn't be more grateful. JV vibes!"
The Varsity 8 also turned in a strong weekend performance. After advancing through earlier rounds, the Hatters placed second in Final 3 with a time of 5:54.750, finishing behind Hobart while defeating Embry-Riddle, Mercyhurst, Florida Tech, Fairfield and Iona.

The freshman class also made a strong impression at the regatta. Stetson's Frosh/Novice 4+ advanced to the Grand Final after placing third in the semifinal round and ultimately finished sixth in the Lindy Cup Grand Final with a time of 7:20.800.

Looking forward to the future progress this class will make and the speed the team will see next year."
