Hatters Clinch Postseason Berth with 4–1 Win Over North Florida

DeLAND, Fla. — Stetson men's soccer erupted offensively on Saturday night, defeating North Florida 4–1 at the Stetson Athletic Training Center to secure a spot in the upcoming ASUN Championship Tournament.

The Hatters (5-8-2, 2-3-1 ASUN) produced their most complete performance of the season, scoring more goals in the win than in their previous four conference matches combined. The victory also marked their first since September 27.

Andres Mata and Zsombor Pall each recorded a brace, combining for all four of Stetson's goals. Mata opened the scoring in the 25th minute off a feed from Daniel Makowem, who also assisted Pall's first goal just moments later. After North Florida cut the deficit to 2–1 before halftime, Pall struck again in the 63rd minute, and Mata sealed the result in the 75th on an assist from Andres Rodriguez.

The two-goal efforts marked Stetson's fifth brace of the season and Pall's second. The Hatters' four goals were their second most in any match this year and their most in ASUN play. Nicolò Radaelli made two saves in goal as Stetson limited the Ospreys to eight total shots in a physical match.

With the win, Stetson clinches its berth in the ASUN Championship and will face #2 seed Central Arkansas of the Gold Division in the opening round, hosted by #1 seed North Florida next Saturday.
