NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Stetson Women's Basketball heads to Music City for Thanksgiving week, taking part in the Music City Classic with matchups against Northern Kentucky and Saint Louis. The Hatters face Northern Kentucky on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. meeting with Saint Louis on Wednesday. Both games will be held at Trevecca's Trojan Fieldhouse and streamed on BallerTV.
Stetson (3-2) enters the event looking to build consistency as non-conference play continues. Through five games, the Hatters are averaging 77.8 points per contest while holding opponents to 58.0. Stetson has also produced an +11 rebounding margin and nearly 18 assists per game, paced by junior guard Mary McMillan's team-leading 27 assists. Senior guard Cameron Thomas leads the scoring effort at 16.2 points per game, while McMillan and graduate forward Aleah Sorrentino also average double figures. Sorrentino anchors the interior with a team-best 9.0 rebounds per outing.
Stetson holds a 6–3 lead in the all-time series against Northern Kentucky, including wins in each of the last two meetings. The Norse (1-5) come into Tuesday's matchup following a close road loss at Chattanooga. NKU averages 61.0 points per game and allows 75.0, with a -3.5 rebounding margin. Karina Bystry leads the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game, while preseason All-Horizon League First Team selection Mya Meredith adds 9.3 points and a team-high nine three-pointers. Mia Jordan leads NKU on the glass with 4.7 rebounds per game. The Norse were picked sixth in the Horizon League Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Saint Louis (1-5) awaits the Hatters on Wednesday. The Billikens have dropped their last three contests, including a competitive 81-75 loss to Illinois State. SLU averages 66.3 points per game while allowing 74.3, and has been outrebounded on average 42.5 to 38.2. Zya Nugent leads the team with 15.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Alyssa Koerkenmeier contributes 7.2 points and a team-high 9.0 rebounds, while preseason All-A-10 Third Team selection Alexia Nelson and Zhykera Brown also average double figures. The Billikens were picked ninth in the Atlantic 10 Preseason Coaches' Poll.
