Hatters Head West to Face Grand Canyon on Tuesday Night

DeLand, Fla. — Stetson men's basketball continues its road trip when the Hatters visit Grand Canyon on Tuesday, February 2, with tip-off set for 9:00 p.m. EST.

Stetson enters the week at 3–6 after competing in the Urban-Bennett Invitational in Pennsylvania. Jamie Phillips Jr. continues to lead the Hatters in scoring at 15.6 points per game while adding 5.0 rebounds per contest and 25 total assists. Ethan Copeland also remains in double figures at 12.4 points per game and leads the team with 13 steals, a performance that helped him earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team this past weekend.

Calvin Sirmans III continues to fuel the offense with a team-high 37 assists, while Collin Kuhl has showcased his two-way ability, highlighted by his first double-double of the season against Robert Morris. As a group, the Hatters are averaging 72 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field, 34 percent from three, and 65 percent from the free-throw line.

Grand Canyon enters Tuesday's matchup at 4–3 after splitting its games at the Acrisure Classic. The Lopes earned a 68–58 win over Utah before falling to Iowa 59–46. Jaden Henley leads Grand Canyon with 16.9 points per game, while Makaih Williams and Nana Owusu-Anane round out the double-digit scorers with 11.4 and 10.1 points per game, respectively. Owusu-Anane is averaging a double-double with 10 rebounds per contest and also leads the team with 19 assists. As a whole, the Lopes average 75 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field, 30 percent from three, and 77 percent at the line.

This will be the first-ever meeting between Stetson and Grand Canyon.
