The Stetson Hatters return home for the Holiday Hoops Classic, welcoming William & Mary and Stonehill for a festive two-day tournament at Insight Credit Union Arena at the Edmunds Center. Friday's action tips off at 11 a.m. against William & Mary, followed by Saturday's matchup with Stonehill, also at 11 a.m. These will be the Hatters' final home games before ASUN Conference play begins on January 1.
Stetson (6-2) comes off an exciting 70-67 road win over crosstown rival UCF, highlighted by Cameron Thomas' career-high 35 points. The Hatters have now won four straight and are averaging 78.1 points per game on 45.5% shooting, including 38.9% from three-point range. Stetson also outrebounds opponents 41.4 to 35.8 per game and is led offensively by Thomas (19.8 ppg) and Mary McMillan (13.9 ppg, conference-leading 39 assists). Aleah Sorrentino anchors the boards with 8.1 rebounds per game while contributing 9.6 points.
The Hatters will face William & Mary for the first time on Friday at 11 a.m. The Tribe (5-4) come in on a four-game winning streak, including a 67-64 victory over Wake Forest on Dec. 3. Selected sixth in the CAA Preseason Coaches' Poll, W&M is led by junior guard Cassidy Geddos, who averages 14.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 24 assists. Stonehill averages 58.5 points on 36.9% shooting, with nearly even rebounding margins (38.1–38.3).
