Hatters Head to Coral Gables for Non-Conference Finale at Miami

DeLAND, Fla. — Stetson women's basketball closes its non-conference schedule on Sunday afternoon with a road test at Miami, as the Hatters travel to Coral Gables to face the Hurricanes at the Watsco Center. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m., with the game streaming live on ACC Network.

Stetson enters the matchup at 7-3, riding the momentum of a dramatic 71–65 comeback win over Stonehill to close the Holiday Hoops Classic. The Hatters erased a 12-point deficit and held the Skyhawks to just two field goals in the fourth quarter, closing the game on a decisive 12–0 run. Cameron Thomas led the way with 32 points, including seven three-pointers, as Stetson secured its seventh win of the season.

The Hatters have been one of the most efficient offensive teams in the ASUN, averaging 78.1 points per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the field and a league-best 37.8 percent from beyond the arc. Stetson has also controlled the glass, outrebounding opponents by an average of +3.0 this season.

Thomas continues to pace the Hatters and the conference, leading the ASUN with 200 total points (20.0 ppg). The reigning ASUN Newcomer of the Year and two-time Player of the Week this season, Thomas is shooting 50.8 percent from the field and 46.8 percent from three-point range, ranking among the league leaders in both categories. She is joined by graduate guard Mary McMillan, who averages 13.8 points per game, leads the ASUN with 5.1 assists per game, and ranks among the team's top shooters from deep. Aleah Sorrentino anchors the interior for Stetson, averaging 10.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game, ranking third in the ASUN on the glass.

Miami enters Sunday's contest with an 8-4 record, riding a two-game win streak after victories over Wake Forest and Kennesaw State. The Hurricanes are 5-2 at home this season, with three of their four losses on the season coming against nationally ranked opponents. Miami began the year selected eighth in the ACC Preseason Coaches' Poll after finishing last season 14-15.

The Hurricanes average 73.9 points per game while allowing just 61.3, leaning on a physical, defensive-minded approach. Miami shoots 44.6 percent from the field and holds a +7.4 rebounding margin, averaging 39.1 boards per game. Ra Shaya Kyle leads the Canes with 15.7 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, recording a double-double on the season. Gal Raviv is Miami's primary playmaker, leading the team with 37 assists while averaging 12.9 points, and Amarachi Kimpson adds 10.9 points per game to round out the Hurricanes' double-figure scorers.

Sunday's matchup marks Stetson's non-conference finale, as the Hatters look to continue building momentum before opening ASUN play on January 1.
