DeLAND, Fla. – Stetson ace Jonathan Gonzalez has been named to the D1Baseball.com All-America Third Team, as announced Tuesday morning. The redshirt-senior southpaw becomes a two-time All-American for the 2025 season after previously earning First Team All-Region honors from ABCA/Rawlings, which made him eligible for their All-America team to be announced later this week.
Gonzalez is the only Hatter to earn All-America honors from D1Baseball.com this season and is one of just three student-athletes from the Atlantic Sun Conference to receive the recognition. He joins teammate Ty Van Dyke as one of two Stetson players to make an All-America team in 2025.
The ASUN Pitcher of the Year, Gonzalez turned in a dominant final season for the Hatters. He finished the year with a 10-2 record, a 1.83 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP across 93.2 innings pitched, tallying 105 strikeouts while holding opposing batters to a .201 average. He recorded four double-digit strikeout performances and posted a 3-1 mark against Power Five opponents. His season was capped off by a 6-inning gem in Stetson's NCAA Regional opening win over NC State.
His recognition from D1Baseball.com adds to a résumé that includes ABCA/Rawlings All-Southeast Region First Team and national acclaim from coaches and media alike.
