Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Stetson Defeats Warner 6-2 on Senior Night

DeLAND, Fla. — Stetson men's soccer lit up the scoreboard Saturday night, rolling past Warner 6-2 at the Athletic Training Center. The win was the Hatters' second straight and lifted their record to 3-4-0 as they head into ASUN play next week.

Sophomore Andre Casas opened the scoring in the 14th minute with his first goal of the season, setting the tone for an explosive offensive performance. Stetson doubled its lead shortly after as Israel Daniels found the net, for his first goal as a Hatter, before Zsombor Pall capped the first-half surge with a strike of his own, also his first, to send the Hatters into the break up 3-0.

The Hatters wasted no time extending their advantage after halftime. Pall struck again in the 47th minute, becoming the second Hatter this season to record a brace, joining teammate Andres Freire. Daniels later matched the feat with his second tally of the night in the 88th minute, putting the finishing touch on the six-goal outburst.

Between those efforts, Warner's Filip Mo (73') and Jason Flaming (84') managed to break through for Warner, but Stetson's attack had already built a comfortable cushion. Adam Elkhamissy added his first goal of the season in the 83rd minute, ensuring the Hatters answered immediately each time the Royals tried to claw back.

In goal, senior Maxwell Bennett earned his first career start and collected the win, making two saves on five shots faced. The Hatters dominated the stat sheet with a 30-5 advantage in shots and 15 on target, showcasing the firepower they'll look to carry into conference play.

Stetson begins its ASUN schedule next Friday, Sept. 27, when it visits FGCU at 7 p.m. in Fort Myers. The match at Pickering Field will be streamed live on ESPN+.
