Morgan Sets Career High as Hatters Fall at West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Stetson men's basketball fell to West Virginia 91-53 on Friday night at Hope Coliseum. Sean Morgan led the Hatters with a career-high 15 points, knocking down five three-pointers, while Collin Kuhl added 12 points and a season-high nine rebounds.

The Hatters showed early offensive flashes in the first half, with Magnus Entenmann providing production inside and from the perimeter. Stetson briefly moved in front during the opening minutes before putting together an 8-0 scoring run to cut into West Virginia's advantage. Entenmann, Morgan and Kuhl all contributed during the stretch as the Hatters worked to stay within reach. Morgan later connected from beyond the arc again, bringing Stetson within six at 33-27. West Virginia carried a 43-30 lead into halftime.

The Hatters continued to work for scoring opportunities after the break, with Morgan connecting on two more three-pointers and Kuhl adding a three and a layup. Stetson also received contributions from across the lineup as it looked to close the gap against the Mountaineers.

West Virginia eventually pulled away in the second half to secure the 91-53 final. Stetson finished the night with eight three-pointers, led by Morgan's career-best performance, while Entenmann and Kuhl continued to provide production in the frontcourt.

Morgan provided a perimeter spark throughout the contest, finishing 5-for-12 from three-point range to establish a new career high in both points and made three-pointers. His shooting gave the Hatters a consistent scoring option from the outside and helped pace the offense.

Kuhl continued his strong start to the season with 12 points and a season-best nine rebounds, including three offensive boards, while adding two assists. Entenmann contributed nine points and a season-high seven rebounds, going 3-for-4 from the free-throw line. Thiago Sucatzky added six points and three assists while shooting 3-for-6 from the field.
