DeLand, Fla. — Stetson men's basketball returns to DeLand to host Jacksonville on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m., before heading south to Fort Myers to face FGCU on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 2:00 p.m.
Stetson enters the week with an 8–17 overall record and a 4–8 mark in ASUN play.
Collin Kuhl has continued his strong stretch of play, averaging 12.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while also contributing 17 assists, 23 steals, and six blocks.
Jake Johnson has provided a scoring spark, tallying six double-digit performances over the last seven games and averaging 9.0 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest.
Ethan Copeland continues to deliver steady production, averaging 13.6 points per game while shooting 40 percent from three-point range and leading the team with 45 steals. Against Eastern Kentucky, Copeland recorded his fifth 20-plus point outing of the season, scoring 25 points while going 5-for-9 from beyond the arc.
Calvin Sirmans III remains the primary facilitator for the Hatters, pacing the squad with a team-high 109 assists. As a unit, Stetson is averaging 73 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field, 34 percent from three-point range, and 68 percent from the free-throw line.
Jacksonville enters Wednesday's matchup with a 9–16 overall record and a 4–8 mark in ASUN play. The Dolphins are led by Hayden Wood, who averages 10.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Donovan Rivers leads the team in rebounding at 4.7 per game while also averaging 8.2 points. Evan Sterck paces Jacksonville in assists with 83 and steals with 33, while Jason Thirdkill Jr. leads the Dolphins in blocks with 22. As a team, Jacksonville averages 72 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field, 32 percent from three-point range, and 70 percent from the free-throw line.
FGCU comes into the week with a 10–15 overall record and a 4–8 ASUN mark. The Eagles will face North Florida prior to Saturday's contest. J.R. Konieczny leads FGCU in scoring at 15.5 points per game while also averaging 6.3 rebounds. Jordan Ellerbee follows closely at 13.5 points per contest, while Rahmir Barno rounds out the double-digit scorers at 11.7 points per game and leads the team in assists with 135. FGCU averages 78 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field, 34 percent from three-point range, and 73 percent from the free-throw line.
Wednesday's game marks the 59th all-time meeting between Stetson and Jacksonville, while Saturday's contest will be the 41st matchup between the Hatters and FGCU.
