Stetson Sweeps St. Thomas 7-0

DeLAND, Fla. — Stetson University earned a dominant 7–0 victory over St. Thomas on Sunday at the Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.

The Hatters opened the match by securing the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. Yuki Mizuguchi and Katsiaryna Tuliakova rolled to a 6–0 victory over Emilia Korseth and Anna Sidorenko at No. 1 doubles, while Anastasija Adeikyte and Dana Baidaulet followed with a 6–1 win against Lily Olson and Else Vander Stichele at No. 2. The No. 3 doubles match featuring Pilar Astigarraga Harper and Clelia Lombardi was left unfinished.

Stetson carried that momentum into singles play, sweeping all six matches.

Mizuguchi led the way with a 6–0, 6–0 victory over Vander Stichele at No. 4 singles. Tuliakova followed with a 6–1, 6–1 win against Korseth at the top spot, and Lombardi added a 6–1, 6–4 decision over Ingrid Forsberg at No. 6.

Dana Baidaulet clinched the match for the Hatters with a 6–2, 6–3 victory over Alize Yarwood at No. 5 singles. Harper and Adeikyte completed the sweep with straight-set wins, as Harper defeated Caroline Lindahl 6–3, 6–1 at No. 2 and Adeikyte topped Sidorenko 6–0, 6–4 at No. 3.
