JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Stetson (26-17, 11-4 ASUN) closed out the weekend with a 6–4 extra-inning victory over North Florida (31-15, 6-9 ASUN) on Sunday at the UNF Softball Complex. The Hatters powered the win with four home runs, marking the second time this season they've reached that total in a game.
After North Florida took a 2–0 lead in the third inning, Stetson answered in the fourth.
Logan Forman launched a two-run home run to left, scoring
Amber Chumley and tying the game.
The Hatters stayed within striking distance after North Florida regained the lead in the bottom half of the inning and broke through again in the sixth.
Nadia English delivered her first home run of the season, a two-run shot to left field that evened the score at 4–4 and ultimately forced extra innings.
Stetson seized control in the eighth inning behind back-to-back solo home runs.
