Edmiaston Sets Record as Hatters Split with Dolphins

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Stetson (30-20, 14-6 ASUN) split its doubleheader against Jacksonville (31-16, 14-6 ASUN), dropping a tight 2–1 extra-inning decision before bouncing back with an 8–5 victory.

Stetson struck first as Annabella McClerren led off the game by launching a solo home run to left field to give the Hatters a 1–0 lead.

Jacksonville answered in the third, capitalizing on a pair of hits to even the score at 1–1. The game remained deadlocked into extra innings, with both teams unable to capitalize on scoring opportunities.

The Dolphins ultimately walked it off in the eighth inning on a solo home run, handing Stetson a 2–1 loss.

Ava Braswell delivered a strong performance in the circle, tossing a complete game while allowing two runs on seven hits.
