SEATTLE, Wash. – Former Stetson standout and current Seattle Mariners right-hander Logan Gilbert added another accolade to his Major League career Saturday, as he was recognized as one of the 50 greatest players in Mariners franchise history.
Gilbert was honored as part of Seattle's 50 Seasons Celebration Night at T-Mobile Park, joining a list that features some of the most accomplished players in franchise history, including Ken Griffey Jr., Ichiro Suzuki, Randy Johnson, Edgar Martínez and Félix Hernández.
The former Hatter is one of several current Mariners selected to the group and has established himself as a fixture in Seattle's starting rotation since making his Major League debut in 2021.
Through 169 career starts, Gilbert owns a 55-43 record with a 3.56 ERA across 974.2 innings. He has recorded 1,029 strikeouts while allowing just 7.5 hits and 2.0 walks per nine innings, compiling a 1.050 career WHIP.
Gilbert has continued that success in 2026, posting an 8-7 record with a 3.42 ERA through 23 starts. The right-hander has struck out 145 batters over 139.1 innings while allowing 107 hits and 32 walks, good for a 0.998 WHIP.
His recognition comes two years after a standout 2024 campaign in which Gilbert earned his first Major League Baseball All-Star selection and finished sixth in American League Cy Young Award voting. He led the majors with 208.2 innings pitched that season while recording a 3.23 ERA, 220 strikeouts and a career-best 0.887 WHIP.
Before beginning his professional career, Gilbert starred at Stetson from 2016-18 and developed into one of the most decorated pitchers in program history. He was selected by Seattle with the 14th overall pick in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft following his junior season with the Hatters.
Gilbert now finds his name alongside generations of Mariners greats as one of just 50 players selected to commemorate the franchise's first 50 seasons.
