2023 Season
  • Appeared in 17 games, making six starts and 11 relief appearances
  • Ranked third on the Stetson squad with four wins, going 4-4 with a team-high four saves
  • Had an ERA of 5.11 in 56.1 innings pitched, good for the third-most innings thrown on the team
  • Struck out 53 batters, also good for third on the Hatters
  • Was 2-3 in ASUN action, collecting all four of his saves and striking out 29 in 35.2 IP
  • Went a season-high 7.0 innings to earn the win in a start against Bellarmine on April 7, allowing three runs on eight hits with seven K's
  • Struck out a season-high eight batters in a start against Manhattan on February 18
  • Also picked up wins against Delaware (February 25) and Jacksonville (May 14)
  • Earned saves at North Florida (March 24), vs. North Alabama (April 1), at Central Arkansas (April 23), and vs. Liberty (April 29)


2022 Season
  • Saw action in 30 games as an outfielder and another 10 on the mound, including two starts
  • Made 21 starts in right field, eight in left and started one game as the DH
  • Finished the year with eight multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI games
  • Posted a .260 batting average with six doubles and a triple
  • Hit .372 against non-conference opponents
  • Came a home run shy of hitting for the cycle against Columbia on February 25 while hitting .636 in the three games against the eventual Ivy League champs
  • Had consecutive multi-hit games against Sacred Heart on March 6 and 8, going 5-for-7 at the plate in those two games
  • Had a three-hit game against Florida A&M on March 12
  • Made starts on the mound against Florida on February 22 and at Bethune-Cookman on March 30

Summer 2021
  • Played for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod Baseball League

2021 Season

  • Was named ASUN Pitcher of the Week after throwing a complete game (7 innings) shutout against Florida A&M on February 20 in his collegiate debut
  • Allowed just three hits while recording five strikeouts in that first appearance
  • Was first Stetson pitcher to throw a shutout in his debut since March of 2015 (Brooks Wilson)
  • Was also the first Stetson freshman since May of 2004 (Chris Ingoglia) to throw a shutout
  • Earned his second victory with five solid innings against UNA on February 27
  • He struck out a season-high seven in that game
  • Turned in his best performance of the year in his final outing, allowing just one run on one hit over 7.1 innings at North Florida on May 22

High School
  • Played for his father at Tuckahoe High before transferring to Iona Prep for his junior and senior seasons
  • Senior season was canceled due to the pandemic
  • In his one season at Iona Prep, he hit .526 in 26 games with 12 doubles, a triple and seven home runs with 40 runs driven in
  • In addition to his offensive production he made 15 appearances on the mound, posting a 7-1 record with a 1.11 ERA, recording 95 strikeouts in 63.1 innings of work
  • As a sophomore at Tuckahoe, he helped the team to a state title by hitting .403 and driving in 22 runs
  • He also went a perfect 10-0 on the mound in 10 starts, allowing just one earned run (0.16) in 49.0 innings with 65 strikeouts
  • For his prep career, which he started in the eighth grade, he batted .472 in 84 games, scoring 93 runs and driving in 113
  • Over the same stretch on the mound he posted a 1.48 ERA with a 23-4 record in 40 games with 251 strikeouts in 175.2 innings of work
  • Was named the Class C Player of the Year in 2017 at Tuckahoe in addition to being a third team All-State pick
  • Was team MVP at Iona Prep as a junior and was twice named to the All-CHSAA team
  • Was an honor roll student who was a member of the Foreign Language National Honor Society in addition to earning high honors in Physics

  • Was born on July 13, 2002, in Bronxville, NY
  • Is the son of Jerry and Jennifer DeFabbia
  • Has two sisters, Isabella (14) and Olivia (11)
  • His father played collegiate baseball at Iona College (1990-91) and Fairleigh Dickinson (1992-93), hitting .408 over two seasons and earning a spot on the Knight’s All-Decade team
  • He also played independent baseball from 1993-96
  • His dad went on to become a college baseball coach, spending time at Pace, Iona, Fordham and Fairleigh Dickinson
  • His uncle, Rob DeFabbia, also played on at Fairleigh Dickinson and was also named to the All-Decade team for the 1990s
  • Enjoys playing the drums
  • Chose Stetson over Boston College, James Madison, Stony Brook and Notre Dame
  • Is a Business major with an interest in Sport Management.
