Biography

2023 Season
  • Served as the Hatters' team captain for the fourth consecutive year
  • Made 51 appearances, all starts, playing 50 games at catcher and one at DH
  • Ranked second on the team with a .315 batting average, while reaching base at a .394 clip and slugging .567
  • Recorded nine doubles and 12 home runs while scoring 35 runs and driving in a team-high 46
  • Worked 20 walks and was hit by six pitches
  • Threw out 15 runners attempting to steal
  • Also hit .317 in 27 ASUN games, raking six doubles and seven home runs to go with 20 runs scored and 24 driven in
  • Drove in multiple runs 10 times and had 11 multi-hit games
  • Drove in four runs against Delaware (Feb. 25), Mount St. Mary's (Mar. 3), Liberty (Apr. 29), and Austin Peay (May 25)

  • The best defensive catcher in the ASUN, perhaps in the nation, having committed just two errors in his career (97 games) with none in 2022
  • Threw out 15-of-41 runners trying to steal
  • Finished first in the ASUN, and the nation, in fielding percentage, handled 338 defensive chances without a mistake
  • Was charged with just two passed balls
  • Saw action in a total of 44 games, starting 40 behind the plate
  • Had seven multiple-hit and four multiple-RBI games during the year
  • Had a pair of doubles and drove in two runs against Maine on March 14
  • Hit the first of his five home runs against North Florida on April 3 in the second game of a double-header
  • Also homered against Kennesaw State on April 9, at Miami on April 26, at North Florida on May 6 and at Kennesaw State on May 14
  • Had a season-high three hits and drove in three runs in the game at Miami

Summer 2019
  • Made his Melching Field debut as a member of the DeLand Suns in the Florida Collegiate League
  • Saw action in 32 games, primarily behind the plate
  • He hit .179 for the summer with three doubles, three home runs and 13 RBI
  • Was named to the league’s Prospect Team
  • Posted a .988 fielding percentage.
High School 
  • Played his senior season at Atlantic High in Port Orange for coach Antwan Brown after spending his previous seasons at Father Lopez High in Daytona Beach
  • Hit .417 as a senior in 21 games
  • Posted a .545 on-base percentage and a .716 slugging percentage
  • Had 10 doubles, a triple and two home runs and drove in 13 runs in just 77 plate appearances
  • Handled 116 chances behind the plate with just one error
  • Earned first team All-Area accolades from the Daytona Beach News-Journal
  • Was selected as an FACA All-Star and was named team offensive MVP
  • Played for coach Bo Hall at Father Lopez where he was a three-year starter
  • Posted a .342 batting average as a junior with a .484 on-base percentage and .466 slugging percentage
  • Threw out 54 percent of the runners who tried to steal against him
  • Was the 24th ranked player in the state and 152nd ranked player in the nation
  • Outstanding student who was a member of the National Honor Society as well as the Spanish Honor Society
