High School: Was a four-year letter winner at Nease playing for Tim Krause, Shane Mathews and Danny Cowgirl ... Primarily played defensive tackle, defensive end and tight end ... Also letter for four years in weight lifting and for one year as a wrestler.

Personal: Full name is James Michael Carey, Jr. ... Was born on January 21, 1997 ... Is the son of James and Rose Carey ... Has one brother, Daniel Provenzano (30), and two sisters, Michelle Carey (22) and Theresa Provenzano (27) ... Chose Stetson over Akron, Mercer, UCF and others ... Is an Integrative Health Science major.
