Biography

2009:  Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team...CoSIDA Academic All-District III Second Team...Stetson Distinguished Senior Student-Athlete (Female) Award...started 53 games at first base and one at designated player...batted .255 (second on the team) with team-leading 15 home runs, 37 RBI and 50 walks...team-high slugging percentage (.603) and on-base percentage (.451)...Stetson’s all-time leader in home runs, RBI and walks and near the top of every other major statistical category...ranks second in A-Sun history with 57 career home runs...was walked intentionally 14 times...six games this season with three RBI...went three for six with three home runs, five RBI and six walks in the A-Sun tournament...hit two homers against Campbell in tourney opener (May 7)...was walked 14 times in the team’s last seven games, eight of them intentionally...named March 16 A-Sun Player of the Week after homering in three straight Hatter victories and notching eight RBI on the week.

2008:  Started all 67 games at first base...enjoyed incredible season in which she established herself as one of the most feared sluggers in the nation...batted .337 for the second straight year and re-set her own school records with 20 home runs and 65 RBI ...tied for seventh in the nation in home runs and was the only underclassman to go deep 20 times...tied the Stetson career home run record (42) in just three seasons and will enter 2009 tied for second among active Division I players ...one of only 13 players nationally to drive in 65 runs...two-time Atlantic Sun Player of the Week...First Team All-Atlantic Sun honors...NFCA All-Southeast Region Second Team...CoSIDA Academic All-District III First Team...Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team...recorded .994 fielding percentage, topping .990 for the third straight season...42 walks and .698 slugging percentage, second-highest totals in Stetson history...hit three home runs in doubleheader split against 28th-ranked USF... hit two homers, including ninth-inning walkoff blast, against Maine (Feb. 29)... went four for four with six RBI in win over Maine the next day.

2007:  Migliori followed up her excellent freshman season with a monster of a sophomore year, batting .337 and setting single-season school records for home runs (16) and RBI (58).  Her .663 slugging percentage was the third best in school history while her home run and RBI totals led the Atlantic Sun Conference.  Migliori was named to the All-Atlantic Sun Second Team and the A-Sun All-Tournament Team with a .722 slugging percentage and a .352 batting average in conference games.  Against Mercer on April 7, she homered in both games of a doubleheader, finishing the day with six RBI as the Hatters swept the Bears 7-3 and 6-1.  Migliori also went deep twice on one day in the Atlantic Sun tournament, homering against Mercer and Lipscomb on May 10 in a pair of Stetson victories. 

 

2006:  Played in and started all 61 games as a freshman ...  second best batting average on team (.321) and slugging percentage (.478) ... third on team in on base percentage (.373) ... totaled 40 RBIs, second best on team ... 11 doubles and six home runs ... seven games with three RBIs ... 2-4 with three RBIs against Boston (3/17) ... 3-4 with two RBIs against Mercer in the A-Sun Tournament ... totaled eight hits and five RBIs in the tournament ... A-Sun Tournament MVP ... Atlantic Sun All-Academic ... A-Sun All-Tournament Team and A-Sun All-Freshman Team.

 

High School: Played for head coach Sue North at West Orange High school in Winter Garden, Fla. ... led her team to metro titles in 2003 and 2005 along with a regional championship in 2005 ... batted .656 with 11 home runs and 37 RBIs as a senior ... set the single season and career (20) home run records ... earned All-Metro and All-County honors ... also participated in basketball ... member of National Honor Society.

 

Personal: Andrea Sue Migliori was born May 4, 1987 in Orlando, Fla. ... daughter of Greg and Sandy Migliori ... majoring in Accounting Information Systems.
