Sophomore (2015): Led Stetson, and finished eighth in the Atlantic Sun Conference, in hitting with a .341 average ... Saw action in 58 games, starting 56, with 42 starts in left field ... Led the Hatters with 21 multiple-hit games ... Had a team season-best 13-game hitting streak and ended the year with a three-game streak ... Was second on the squad in doubles (16), triples (5) and stolen bases (14) ... Tied the Stetson single-game record with five stolen bases in a game against Kennesaw State (4/2) in the Hatters' A-Sun opener ... Was the most stolen bases in a game for an A-Sun player since 2008 ... After going hitless in the season-opener, hit safely in the next 13 games ... Had a streak of eight games from March 24-April 4 with multiple hits in each game ... Had a season-high four hits in a game twice, vs. Central Michigan (2/21) and at Jacksonville (4/26) ... Prior To Stetson: Started his collegiate career at the University of Tennessee where he saw action in 27 games as a freshman in 2013 ... Batted .213 in 61 at bats that season with four doubles, a triple and 10 runs batted in ... Also stole four bases on five attempts … Took a year off from baseball in 2014 and attended Glendale Community College in Arizona … Was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 29th round of the 2014 MLB first year player draft.
High School: Was a three-year letter winner for coach Ed Hall at Wakefield HS in Raleigh, NC … Played third base and shortstop … Was a three-time Academic All-Conference selection … Hit .394 as a junior to help lead Wakefield to a 20-4 record and a conference championship in 2011 ... Was ranked as the 47th-best shortstop in the 2012 draft by BaseballDraftReport.com and was listed as one of the Top 1000 players in the nation by Perfect Game … was originally selected by the New York Mets in the 31st round (950th overall) in the 2012 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Wakefield High School.
