2017 (Junior): Played in 15 games, making four starts (Bucknell, Northern Illinois, North Florida, Florida Atlantic) … scored two goals and added two assists … scored the game-winning goal in Stetson’s 2-1 win over Lipscomb … season’s first goal came in 3-0 win over Bucknell … had assists against Mercer and USC Upstate … played 655 minutes.

2016 (Sophomore): Played in all 16 games with eight starts … scored season’s only goal against Fordham … took 17 shots … played 778 total minutes, including all 90 at NJIT.

2015 (Freshman): A-Sun Player of the Week (Sept. 28) … finished second on the team in scoring with five points … played in eight matches, starting seven … play was limited due to an initial eligibility issue … scored a goal and had an assist in his first collegiate appearance, a 2-1 overtime win against Florida Atlantic … he assisted on the game tying goal and scored the game-winner in OT, earning player of the week honors … also scored against St. Leo … both of his goals were game-winners.

High School: 2015 graduate of Windermere Prep in Windermere, Fla. … was a two-year captain, scoring 110 goals in his junior and senior seasons combined and leading his team to a district championship and regional finals appearance … earned all-metro honors in both years O’Brien plied his club trade with Orlando City S.C. and their USSDA U18 Academy team, playing for head coach Paul Shaw … was the leading scorer at the prestigious Disney Showcase, scoring nine goals in just three matches.
