Summer 2020: Appeared in one game on the mound for the DeLand Suns in the Florida Collegiate League … Struggled with his control, walking five with one strikeout.
 
2020: Did not see playing time … Was named to the ASUN Academic Honor Roll.

Summer 2019: After seeing limited action for the Hatters in the spring, Wood appeared in seven games on the mound for the DeLand Suns in the Florida Collegiate League … He made just one start for the Suns, which came in the playoffs … Overall he posted a 1-0 record with one save, working 13.1 innings with 10 strikeouts while posting a 3.38 ERA The Suns were 6-0-1 in the games in which he pitched.

2019: Received a medical redshirt after appearing in just three games due to an injury ... Recorded seven strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work ... Earned the win against Sacred Heart (3/3) with 2.0 shutout innings of relief.

Summer 2018: Made 11 appearances for the Harwich Mariners in the Cape Code Collegiate League ... Struggled with his control, walking 22 in 17.0 innings of work for the summer ... Also struck out 22 ... Best outing was at Chatham when he worked four no-hit innings, allowing one unearned run with five walks and five strikeouts.

2018: Pitched in 11 games, all in relief, posting 22 strikeouts in just 12.2 innings of work ... Hatters were 8-3 in games he worked in ... Longest outing of the year was 2.2 innings against Rhode Island (3/17) in which he did not allow a base runner and struck out two ... Lost his father to cancer during the season ... Struck out a season-high six in two innings against South Florida (4/11) in his first outing after his dad passed ... Struck out the only two batters he faced against Kennesaw State (5/24) in the ASUN Tournament in a 2-1 win ... Struck out the only batter he faced in the opening game of the Super Regional at North Carolina (6/8).

High School: Was a five-year letter winner for coach Dan Peters at Taylor HS … Enjoyed a remarkable senior season, posting a .507 batting average in 25 games with five doubles, two triples, four home runs and 26 RBI while also stealing eight bases … Was equally spectacular on the mound, posting a 6-3 record in 11 games, including four complete game outings … Had a 0.97 ERA in 64.2 innings of work with 109 strikeouts and just nine walks … All of that success came after missing most of his junior season as a result of injury … Was a Perfect Game High Honorable Mention All-American in 2015 after earning first team All-District honors as well as Daytona Beach News-Journal second team All-Area … Finished his prep career with a .375 batting average, 15 doubles, four triples, four home runs and 72 RBI in 277 at bats while also swiping 15 bags ... On the mound, he posted a 14-10 career record in 38 appearances (14 starts) with a 3.53 ERA and 225 strikeouts against just 48 walks in 155.1 innings of work ... Helped his team to three district titles ... Played in the summer and fall for Nation Elite Baseball in Port Orange ... Was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with a 3.85 GPA … Chose Stetson over UCF and Florida Gulf Coast.

Has a cousin, Scott Teal, who played football at UCF as a long snapper from 2012-14 ... Is a distant cousin of MLB all-time great Ty Cobb ... Is a Sport Business major.
