High School: Was a three-year letter-winner for coach JJ Pizzio at Leto HS ... Helped the Falcons to a 23-7 record as a senior, including an 8-1 mark in district play ... Posted a 9-4 record in 14 appearances, including 11 starts ... Had a 1.77 ERA in 75.1 innings of work ... Finished the season with 104 strikeouts against just 33 walks ...
