Biography

High School/Previous School:
Core attended Central Pointe Christian Academy in Kissimmee, Florida, where he played under head coach Jesús Rosado. He was ranked by Perfect Game as the No. 25 overall prospect and No. 4 catching prospect in Puerto Rico.

Core continued his collegiate career at Bethune-Cookman, where he appeared in 15 games with 10 starts, posting a 1–4 record. He recorded 45 strikeouts over the season before transferring to Stetson.

Full name is Joel Omar Core. Born on November 3, 2004, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Son of Joel Core and Yomari Batista. Has one brother, Miguel. Is related to Jancarlos Cintron, an infielder in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization (Amarillo Sod Poodles – AA). Majoring in Health and Exercise Science.
