High School: Played as a freshman at J.P. Taravella HS before playing his final three seasons at St. Thomas Aquinas for coach Troy Cameron … Helped club to a 24-4 record by posting a .382 batting average during his senior season with 27 RBI in just 68 at bats … Hit seven home runs and also stole nine bases … Was named team offensive player of the year … Was named first team All-County by both the Miami Herald and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel … Was selected to play in the Florida Athletics Coaches Association All-Star game … As a junior he had 14 stolen bases helping his team to a 27-3 record and a Class 8A state title … Played for the FTB Rockets travel team … Was an honor roll student … Chose Stetson over Seton Hall.
