Mark Michaud joined the Stetson baseball program as Director of Baseball Operations in February of 2019. Michaud came to Stetson from Walla Walla Community College in Washington where he served as an assistant coach and as recruiting coordinator.
During his time on the west coast Michaud spent five years working for the Milton-Freewater Unified School District where he served in a variety of capacities including head baseball coach at McLoughlin High School, director of athletics and Central Middle School and as a physical education teacher at Freewater Elementary.
Michaud moved to Washington in 2009 to become assistant baseball coach at Whitman College. He spent the summers from 2010-14 serving as an assistant coach, as well as sponsorship and ticket sales coordinator, for the Walla Walla Sweets, a summer collegiate team in the West Coast Summer League.
After graduating from Eastern Connecticut State in 2002, Michaud started his coaching career as an assistant baseball coach and assistant director of enrollment management at Rockford University, an NCAA Division III school in Illinois. While at Rockford from 2003-05, he received his Masters of Arts in Teaching.
He moved on to Siena College outside Albany, NY, in 2005 where he served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. From there he went to the University of Maine for the 2008-09 where he served as volunteer assistant coach and operations director for current Stetson head coach Steve Trimper.
From Maine he returned to Eastern Connecticut State as an assistant coach for the 2010 season before making the move west.
During his career he has been a part of two national championship teams.
Married to Brooke, who is a native of Milton-Freewater, Ore., Michaud is a native of Groton, Conn.
