Played almost every position on the field during his prep career at Lake Wales HS ... Projects as a starting pitcher in college ... As a junior he posted a 9-2 record with a 0.92 ERA and 84 strikeouts while also hitting .341 ... Earned All-Region, second team, honors from Perfect Game as a senior ... Helped his team to a district title in 2012 with a 22-8 team record ... Was named FACA 5A District 13 Player of the Year in 2012 in addition to earning All-County and All-State honors.
