High School: Played for coach Chris Margraf at Lawrence Academy in Groton, Mass. … Was a four-year starter on the varsity squad at third base … Was selected as team captain his senior year … Received the prestigious “Unsung Hero” aware for his work ethic, resiliency and quality of play … Played his senior season with a shoulder injury and only missed two games … Led the team in doubles and stolen bases … Was also an outstanding hockey player during his first two years at Lawrence Academy … Was an honor roll student … Played travel ball for the Boston Braves … Chose Stetson over Bryant, Dayton, Northeastern, Connecticut and Jacksonville.
