2019: Team captain … Saw action in all 11 games as a receiver and special teams player … Had just one reception during the season, but that one went for 58 yards and set up a touchdown against Morehead State (11/23) in the season finale … Was also credited with three tackles … Was named to the PFL Academic Honor Roll.

2018: Saw action in all 10 games as a backup receiver … Started the season finale against Valparaiso … Was selected as the offensive scout team player of the week for the Morehead State game … Had three receptions for 22 yards on the year … Was named to the PFL Academic Honor Roll.

2017: Did not see playing time after suffering a season-ending injury during preseason practice.

2016: Saw action in all 11 games, earning his first start in the game at San Diego (11/12) ... Had a season-best three receptions in the game at Campbell (10/22), gaining 13 yards ... Had two receptions for 18 yards in the win over Warner (9/10) ... Also had a kickoff return for eight yards in that game ... Was credited with a tackle in the game at Davidson (10/1) ... Was named to the PFL Academic Honor Roll.

2015: Saw action in four junior varsity games.

High School: Was a four-year letter winner for coach Mike Riazzi, playing receiver, safety and punter ... Helped squad to four consecutive district titles ... Was a second team All-County pick ... Had 55 receptions for 745 yards and 10 TDs as a senior ... Also had 95 tackles with seven interceptions ... Also lettered on the baseball team for three years as a pitcher and outfielder ... Helped his team to back-to-back state titles. 

Personal: Full name is Austin Rueben Perlman ... Was born on April 23, 1996 ... Is the son of Elliott and Yvette Perlman ... Received his degree in Health Sciences in 2020.
