  • Was a two-year starter for coach Kent Smith at Pace HS
  • Had 26 receptions over those two years for 544 yards and six touchdowns
  • Played his entire senior season with a broken wrist
  • Was selected to the Pensacola News Journal All-Area team
  • Was also a member of the Pace track team, competing in the 4x100 relay as well as the 4x400
  • Earned third in the state in the 4x100 as a junior and sixth in the 4x400 as a senior, setting a school record
  • Posted a time of 11.12 seconds in the 100 meters, 22.76 in the 200 meters and 3:19.8 in the 4x400
  • Was also selected to the Pensacola News Journal All-Area track team
  • Was an honor student, member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club
